Red velvet cake has been around for a long time.

Red velvet cake with pink icing.. It all started when I was in Michaels looking for Valentine's Day props for another post (coming Pink Velvet is nothing more than a name here. I just thought it would be a fun play on red velvet cake. It doesn't have the traditional elements of a red. You can cook Red velvet cake with pink icing.. using 19 ingredients and 11 steps.   1. Prepare of Dry ingredients:.
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of Butter (room temp).

  10. It's of Wet ingredients:.
  11. It's 2 of large Eggs.
  12. You need 1/4 cup of Cooking oil.
  13. Prepare of few drops Vanilla essence.
  14. It's 1 cup of milk.
  15. Prepare 2 tbsp of vinegar.
  16. You need of For pink icing :.
  17. You need of Whipping cream as required.
  18. Prepare 1 pack of strawberry jelly crystalls.
  19. You need of Sprankles for garnishing.

My daughter loves all things pink, so this recipe was just right for her birthday. Even my teenage son (not a fan of pink) ate his share, too. These look delicious but I always thought red velvet cupcakes/cake had cream cheese icing. This old fashioned Red Velvet Cake recipe is moist and fluffy.



Red velvet cake with pink icing.. step by step

  1. Step 1 : preheat your oven to 180 degree celcius..
  2. Step 2 : In a bowl mix milk and vinegar and set it for 10 mins. Your buttermilk is ready.....
  3. Step 3: Cream butter and sugar until creamy and light in colour..
  4. Then add egg one at a time, beating well after each edition to combine well..
  5. In another small bowl mix together oil, coco powder and red food colourand vanilla essence until smooth..
  6. Step 6: Stir colour mixture through creamed mixture to combine..
  7. Step 7: Mix together together all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl..
  8. Step 8 : Add half of the dry ingredients and half of the buttermilk to the wet ingredients; mix well. Repeat with reamining dry and pour milk. Mix until well combined..
  9. Step 9: Pour the batter inthe greaded tin and bake it for 30 - 35 mins..
  10. For pink icing: Mix strawberry jelly crystalls in whipped cream until crystalls are dissolved. Pink icing is ready....
  11. Apply pink icing in the center and top of the cooled cake.And garnish it with sprinkles. Chill it and serve..😊😊.
