- Prepare 2 cups of flour.
- It's 2 tbsp of baking powder.
- It's 2 tbsp of baking soda.

- You need 1 cup of cooking oil.

- Mix all dry ingredients together (flour, baking powder and soda).
- In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients (sugar, oil, mala, yolks).
- Whisk the egg whites till they have a stiff peak..
- Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir till it all comes together- don't over mix. It is okay to have a few lumps..
- Pre- heat your oven at 200° c for 15 min..
- As the oven is preheating, add your egg whites to the cake batter and softly stir in one direction.
- Line your baking pan/ put oil and softly dust with flour. Pour the cake mixture into the pan..
- Put pan in oven and reduce heat to 180° C for 20 minutes. Check if it is well done by inserting a tooth pick- it should come out clean with no cake residue..
